November is the month I turn 26! Four more years and I will be 30!! OMG not that being 30 is such a bad thing but like many people I felt I would be living a totally different life than what I live now. But that is what I love about life, no matter how much you try to make it turn out the way you want it to, the Creator is the one that truly makes your life the way it should be. November is a month that I will sit back and let the Most High run my life. :) I am tired I feeling unsatified about how things are going in the world and its time to sit back and relax, and just let life happen!!! I have not given up eating raw because it really makes me happy inside, literally lol my stomach loves me for it. It is a new month and new ideas and new challenges that I am ready to conquer.
Good night world :)

The Bet....
Good Evening World,
So my boyfriend and I made a bet that for 100.00 I could stick to a 100% raw vegan diet. I know, I know I sold out for money, lol but not really. I have decided to get competitive in order to stick to raw veganism. I am trying to make this interesting so I can stick it out lol. I am back at being raw, I have gone back and forth with cooked foods and raw foods but my stomach is starting to dislike cook foods. Today my meals were really refreshing, I had a great salad with Spinach,Collard Greens, Cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, baby corn and homade guacamole dressing w/ avocados, tomatoes, habenero peppers, cilantro and red onions. I also had grapes, bananas and cherries. So off to a good start!

I'M BACK!!!
Good Afternoon World,
Ok so my motivation is soaring high today. I just got back from the grocery store and I am getting back to 100% raw. I bought my fruit in bulk today and only spent about 30.00. I got 6lbs of bananas, 5 lbs of mangos, 3lbs of kiwi, 1 watermelon, 2lbs of medjool dates only like 9.00!!! And 5lbs of gala apples. The fruit should last me a week. My increased motivation has come from a challenge I am doing in July. I am a member of myfitnesspal.com and it is such a great community to be apart of. You can track your calories, your weight loss goals and be apart of a community that will support you when you are down and cheer for you when you meet your goals. The challenge I am doing is a raw vegan challenge where you must eat 75-100% of raw food for the whole month of July. And you may say aren't you a raw vegan, shouldn't you be eating that amount in raw foods anyway? Well I do eat that amount in raw foods but I need something to push me over the hurdle of sticking with eating all raw. Please check out the challenge and join me in sticking to eating raw for a full month!

Back on Track!
Good Evening World,
So I fell off the wagon! After having food at a BBQ last weekend I continued to eat cooked foods. It has been so challenging to get back to raw foods but again I think about how bad it makes me feel. Tomorrow I am doing a juice cleanse for a day and then back to eating raw on Monday. So I bought some new food toys!! I bought a juicer and a food processor. My next treat to myself is a dehydrator. I bought a Black and Deck Power Pro II food processor and G E juice extractor. I used my juice extractor today and it was a amazing. It does a pretty good job getting out as much juice as possible. The pulp was dry after being juiced so I think I got my bang for my buck. I am excited yet nervous about getting back to eating raw but it will be worth it.

Weekend of Cooked Food
Hello World,
Friday evening I went to Ruby Tuesday and was very proud of myself because I usually get the mini ruby hamburgers with the salad bar but I but I only got the salad bar and it was very delicious I must say. I was so tempted by the food on my sister's plate. She got the mini burgers, french fries and the salad bar and the food was calling my name so loud!!! I left the restaurant feeling very good about only eating the salad bar. I was stuffed but I did not have the feeling that my food was just sitting in my stomach like I used to have when I ate cooked food.
Saturday was when I chose to eat something cooked. It was a very busy day and I did not pack my food like I usually do so I got hungry very quickly. I sat through an hour and half graduation ceremony and was famished! At the reception I ate some red beans and rice. And then off to a BBQ where I ate watermelon and half a hamburger. Though I did not eat that much cooked food I started to regret it hours after. I noticed I got very tired. On Sunday I had decided that maybe I jumped into eating raw to quickly instead of transitioning. I also decided I would add one cooked meal for dinner everyday and this week it would be brown rice and red potatoes.
But this morning I could feel the effects of eating cooked food because I could barely wake up. I felt so heavy and sick. As I type this blog I can still feel the food sitting in my stomach. I worked out at 6:00am but all i could think about was the food sitting in my stomach. I hate this feeling so much and definitely do not miss it. I told myself I would go back to 100% raw at the end of this week but I actually think I will switch back tomorrow. My lesson was well learned.

1631bs and back to the gym!
Hello World,
So yesterday was the start of the 2nd week of being 100% raw vegan. And let me tell you, it is not easy at all!!! I do missed cooked foods, and warm foods. I think once I start finding interesting recipes I will be fine with not eating cooked foods. I am back to my old workout schedule of working out at 5:00am and it really feels good. I can tell a difference in my energy because my body is still getting used to the change in diet so my energy is kind of low. I worked on back and shoulders today and I really see a great difference in my body. I am much leaner. My arms are getting smaller and tighter. My stomach is completely flat with no pooch to pinch lol. I actually enjoy being raw right now, it makes me feel different! I continue to lose weight and now since I am back to working out I see my weight continuing to drop. :) I will be bikini ready soon, horray!

A Reality Check!
Hello World,
Its friday, its payday and the usual aroma of a mixture foods come together. The usual greasy, fattening unhealthy, processed foods. I used to like that food, no correction, I used LOVE that food! I sat at work today thinking about all the good food I would no longer be able to eat. My favorite food to eat is Indian food. Palak Paneer, curried lamb, naan bread etc. Foods like veggie sushi I will no longer be able to eat. I asked myself, if this was what I really wanted to do. But then I received a phone call from my beautiful sister and she put everything in prospective. We had tried on numerous occasions to lose weight through eating "healthy" like asparagus, brown rice and salmon. Also, Hi my name is Sherah and I am a gymoholic! I live in the gym. There are weeks I go to the gym twice a day 6 days a week. But I still did not see a difference in my body. I knew something had to change and going raw is what I needed to help me change old habits. I can tell a difference in my body. My arms are becoming more cut and my stomach is getting flatter. I actually took a break from the gym Wednesday-Friday due to my energy being lower than usual because of my body detoxing but I still managed to lose some weight.
Though I will no longer be able to enjoy the foods I usually do, I will be able to make other foods my favorites. I love love love avocados. And who knew watermelon and cantaloupe could be so sweet and luscious! I told myself I will try this out for a whole year so I will not be giving up anytime soon :)
